1. It is my dream to adopt a zero-waste lifestyle that is sustainable and leaves little impact on the planet that we live on, inspiring others to do the same and creating a significant shift in mindset about climate change and the need to create a greener future.

2. Our generation and our children will pay the greatest costs for climate change. It is essential that we create a strong group of youth and equip them with the necessary leadership skills to tackle the most substantial threat to our future – and this expedition to the Antarctic will provide the vital knowledge and skills to do just that.

3. I want to use my skills in both psychology and technology and the newly acquired skills and knowledge gained on the expedition and team on board to provide convenient, easy solutions for how we can tackle climate change right here and right now, educating and empowering my community and making a positive environmental difference back home in South Africa.

I'm incredibly lucky to have been given this opportunity, and I want to maximize any value from it for those around me and myself, hopefully inspiring others to do the same!
